As we close out 2021, the Crunk Feminist Collective reflects on many victories from the publishing of Feminist AF: The Guide to Crushing Girlhood (which should be on gift lists for the special people in your life); many episodes of great television and recognition for being a Social Justice Visionary; academic successes like promotions, fellowships, newly developed minors, new centers of study; and most importantly this year we launched The Remix. We are taking a much needed break until 2022, but before we go here is the final Weekly Roundup for 2021.
REMEMBER
RIP to the inimitable Greg Tate
Greg Tate, musician and leading hip-hop generation cultural critic, dies at 64. “As a Village Voice critic, he became one of the leading chroniclers of the emergence of hip-hop and had a powerful influence on later critics.”
NOTE: Workers Are Standing Up!
Workers around the globe are opting out and we should be paying attention. There is a resurgence of workers refusing low wages, poor conditions, and demanding balance in their working lives. As we launch into the giving season let's consider the conditions that “essential workers,” who cannot work from home, have endured and find ways to support workers organizing to improve working conditions and those who are bargaining for the common good of all communities.

We hope you can take some time to rest, reset, recover and we will be back in the new year.
